Tallinn Health University of Applied Sciences is an internationally recognized state professional higher education institution, offering training in the field of health and well-being.
Our mission is to train innovatively and critically thinking health professionals with technological competences. Tallinn Health University of Applied Sciences is in continuous development, nationally and internationally networked, where, in cooperation with national and international partners and involving learners, current challenges are addressed.
The UAS is one of the two Universities of Applied Sciences in Estonia that offer education in the field of health care. It is possible to study in higher education programmes as a general nurse, midwife, optometrist, dental technician, pharmacist, occupational therapist, and in health promotion. In vocational education, programmes are offered for care workers, child minders, emergency medical technicians, assistive technology specialists, sterilization technicians, dental assistants, clinical secretaries, and client workers for people with mental health problems.
Since the autumn semester of the 2018/2019 academic year, it has also been possible to study in the Master’s programme in Health Sciences.
The institution has a structural unit in Kohtla-Järve, and studies also take place in other regional units (e.g. Pärnu, Kuressaare, etc.).
The UAS shapes skills for multi-professional and multicultural teamwork in its staff and learners while in continuous national and international cooperation with organisations that support development.
