International Week of Tallinn Health University of Applied Sciences 2025 took place 1-5 December 2025.

In addition to colleagues and partners from Estonia, 32 international guests took part, representing Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Spain, Georgia, Germany, Romania, Jordan, Norway, the United Kingdom, Greece and the United States.

The aim of the week was to promote international cooperation, exchange experiences and support the development of healthcare education and practice. The programme featured a wide range of academic, practical and cultural activities. Workshops focused on primary healthcare services in pharmacies, the preparation of extemporaneous medicines, and ethical questions related to the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare education.

Participants also had the opportunity to join a Science Café discussion, where research ideas were shared and future cooperation opportunities were explored. The programme also included a Dental Technicians’ Day, titled The Future of Dental Technology and Ensuring Occupational Safety of Dental Technicians, which focused on professional development, expert presentations and international exchange in the field.

The highlight of the week was the workshop The Future of NANDA-I, Introducing NANDA 360 and Strengthening Clinical Reasoning, led by Dr Heather Herdman, Chief Executive Officer of NANDA International. The session explored the future of NANDA nursing classifications and their application in practice.

As part of the International Week programme, participants visited West Tallinn Central Hospital, where Chairman of the Management Board Dr Arkadi Popov introduced the Estonian healthcare system and the hospital. International networking was further supported through social events, including a visit to the Niguliste Museum and a reception in Tallinn Old Town.
